Toni Kroos was born in Greifswald, East Germany, shortly before reunification. His passion for football began early, starting with Greifswalder SC and later Hansa Rostock's youth team. In 2006, his talent earned him a spot at Bayern Munich's Youth Academy, where he often prioritized training over school.
At 17, Kroos debuted for Bayern Munich on September 26, 2007, becoming the club's youngest player. In a 5-0 win over Energie Cottbus, he assisted two goals for Miroslav Klose. Soon after, he scored his first Bayern goal in a UEFA Cup match against Red Star Belgrade. To gain experience, Kroos was loaned to Bayer Leverkusen in 2009, excelling with nine goals and 12 assists in the 2009-2010 season, solidifying his reputation as a rising star.
Kroos returned to Bayern in 2010 and became integral to the team. By 2012-2013, he played a key role in Bayern’s treble-winning campaign, though injury kept him from the Champions League final. Under coach Jupp Heynckes and alongside Bastian Schweinsteiger, Kroos helped Bayern win multiple titles, ending his tenure with a Bundesliga championship in 2013-2014.
In 2014, Kroos joined Real Madrid, turning down Manchester United after a pivotal conversation with Carlo Ancelotti during the World Cup. He debuted in the UEFA Super Cup, winning his first Real Madrid trophy. Partnered with Luka Modrić, he formed one of football's most iconic midfield duos. Kroos became the first German to win the Champions League with two clubs and, by 2016-2017, had lifted the trophy three times with Real Madrid, cementing his status as one of football’s all-time greats.
BAYERN MUNICH (2007-2014)
Toni Kroos, a German midfield maestro, began his professional career with Bayern Munich in 2007, showcasing immense promise as a teenager. Joining the club’s senior team at just 17 years old, Kroos made his Bundesliga debut in September of that year, becoming the youngest player in Bayern’s history at the time. During his time with Bayern Munich, Kroos developed into one of Europe’s most gifted playmakers, known for his precise passing, vision, and ability to dictate the tempo of a game. Between 2009 and 2010, he was loaned to Bayer Leverkusen, where he gained valuable experience and significantly honed his skills. Upon returning to Bayern, Kroos became an integral part of the squad, contributing to their domestic dominance and international success. Notably, he was part of the historic 2012-2013 treble-winning team, as Bayern clinched the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and UEFA Champions League titles. Kroos left Bayern Munich in 2014 to join Real Madrid, but his time with the Bavarian giants remains a significant chapter in his illustrious career, laying the foundation for his future success at the highest levels of football.
BAYER LEVERKUSEN --> LOAN (2008-2010)

On loan from Bayern Munich, Kroos joined Leverkusen as a young talent looking to refine his skills and gain valuable first-team experience. It was here that he began to establish himself as one of the most promising midfielders in European football. Over the course of his tenure, Kroos delivered consistent performances, demonstrating exceptional vision, passing accuracy, and a knack for scoring crucial goals. His ability to read the game and contribute both offensively and defensively made him a key player for the team. By the time his loan spell ended, Kroos had not only matured as a footballer but also cemented his reputation as a future star, laying the foundation for what would become a highly decorated career on both the club and international stage.
